"Star" Labelling is a process in which a product is differentiated on the basis of the relative efficiency with which it uses energy or water. Vipac has been the industry leader in the development of star labelling of appliances in Australia and possesses experienced staff and a comprehensively equipped laboratory for this purpose.

Following certification, appliances are subjected to a range of performance tests to ascertain energy and/ or water efficiency. As a result of these processes, Vipac will provide clients with a written assessment of the product's performance together with its recognised "Star" rating.

Vipac has developed many of the test methods and test facilities which are now used to test for energy and water labelling. These unique test facilities are located on site at the Vipac Laboratory complex.
