The Vipac Plumbing Products Laboratory (VPPL), a NATA accredited and QAS endorsed facility, previously operated under the Vipac Engineers & Scientists office in Adelaide. With its relocation to Melbourne, it brings plumbing excellence to the complete suite of testing facilities located at Port Melbourne. The VPPL operates to service manufacturers and importers seeking qualification certification of various products to Australian Standards. Our expert staff are specialists in the plumbing industry and can offer technical advise in product design and development, if required.
The Vipac Plumbing Products Laboratory has been NATA endorsed for the various methods of testing to Australian Standards including, but not limited to some of the following products.
Type testing of products including, taps, showers, toilets, cisterns and other flushing mechanisms, baths, shower bases, urinals, waste outlets and gratings, flow controllers, water filters and mains/tank water changeover devices.
Type testing of products including, polyethylene (PE), polybutylene (PB), Polypropylene (PPR), cross-linked polyethylene (PEX), copper and PVC pipes, joints and solvent cement as well as other mechanical jointing fittings.
Type testing of a wide range of valves including, backflow prevention valves, inlet pressure control valves, solenoid valves, isolating valves, and tempering and thermostatic mixing valves.
Vipac Plumbing Products Laboratory is recognised for all type testing of plumbing products requiring WELS rating in accordance with AS/NZS 6400.
