Break-Through in Remote Noise Monitoring - Vipac's New Generation Environmental Noise Monitor
Constant and reliable monitoring of noise sources is important for accurate noise assessments and interpretations. The actual monitoring task however can become more complex when long-term monitoring in remote locations is necessary - environmental consultants often have to return to isolated monitoring sites several times during an assessment in order to download measured data from sound level meters, clear the memory, replace the batteries and continue with the logging of data. Furthermore, unattended monitoring stations are often subjected to unidentifiable noise sources such as storms or barking dogs, which can lead to misinterpretations of the results.
The Environmental Noise Monitor from Vipac is a new generation monitor that can be remotely accessed. Easy-to-use, it is portable and solar-powered for remote monitoring and accessing of noise data.

Precision Type 1 integrating Sound Level Meter.
Option of creating special exceedance reports when signal levels rise above a user-set threshold - once threshold is exceeded, the system automatically activates MP3 recorder. The source of noise exceedance can be identified which may be unrelated to the noise being measured, misinterpretations of downloaded data can be ruled out by simply listening to sample and comparing data with actual sound.
Internal cellular phone connection for remote access - simply dial up the GSM modem from any phone and listen to the sound in real-time.
Log on to Vipac's website and access your monitor via password to download reports into text files, check the status, reset all data/data history, stop/start the monitoring process or check the battery level. Report also includes information such as wind speed and direction, temperature, humidity and rainfall.
Download customised information by selecting special parameters prior to the monitoring process.
Rechargeable battery automatically activated during cloudy periods of the day or at nighttime; recharged from un-used solar power.
