Trackside Intelligence Pty Ltd (Track IQ) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Vipac Engineers and Scientists. Specialising in Wayside Detection for the railway industry, Track IQ manufacture and market three core products, the RailBAM - Bearing Acoustic Monitor for advanced detection and notification of railway wheel bearing defects; the Wheel Condition Monitor for detecting and monitoring of developing rolling wheel surface defects, vehicle weights and out of round wheels; and the Wayside Monitoring System for integration and presentation of wayside sensor data from multiple sensors and sites and that provides both trending and fleet / vehicle analysis tools.

Track IQ provides service to railway companies throughout the world and are leaders in rolling stock condition monitoring. Individual hardware sales and complete turnkey solutions are provided.

Track IQ has over 80 sensor systems installed globally – in Australia, Brasil, China, India, Norway, South Africa and USA. 

Track IQ has recently formed a Joint Venture with RT Vision Technologies P Ltd, New Delhi, for implementation of the Online Monitoring of Rolling Stock (OMRS) Project tendered from the Indian Railways. The Joint Venture includes localization of installation, operation and support across multiple wayside monitoring sites in India and which will lead to localization of system manufacture in India by the Joint Venture.

Track IQ has recently won a tender from Ontrack, New Zealand, for supply of multiple systems for rolling stock weighing, wheel impact and bearing fault detection.
