Draft AS/NZS Air conditioner Seasonal Performance Standards are now open for public comment:

  • DR AS/NZS 3823.4:2014 Amd 1 Revision of AS/NZS 3823.4.3:2014 Air-cooled air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps—Testing and calculating methods for seasonal performance factors—Cooling seasonal performance factor
  • DR AS/NZS 3823.4.2:2014 Amd 1 Revision of Air-cooled air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps—Testing and calculating methods for seasonal performance factors—Heating seasonal performance factor
  • DR AS/NZS 3823.4.3:2014 Amd 1 Revision of AS/NZS 3823.4.3:2014 Air-cooled air conditioners and air-to- air heat pumps — Testing and calculating methods for seasonal performance factors – Annual factor

Key changes to the standards include revised climate bin hour data for Australia and New Zealand and corresponding standby operating hours, updated performance graphs, amendments to the temperature standardized test conditions.

Once you have submitted your comments, they are sent to the EL-56 Room Air Conditioners Committee for review.
