Vipac Engineers & Scientists Ltd is seeking to recruit a Graduate Engineer to work in a team of consultants specialising in industrial vibration applications, machine reliability, structural dynamics and structural design. The position is in our Industrial team based in Spring Hill, Brisbane, Queensland and will involve travel throughout Queensland and other states.
Vipac is a multi-disciplinary, nationwide engineering consultancy that provides vibration, acoustics, and many other services. We provide for building, infrastructure, oil and gas, industrial, defence, mining and commercial clients.
The role will suit a recent Mechanical Engineering Graduate or candidate with 0 – 2 years’ experience.
The Industrial group completes projects in a wide range of applications with a large focus on vibration data collection and analysis to solve problems related to structural integrity, fatigue failure, machine reliability, and fluid dynamics. Our engineers use specialised hardware and software in day-to-day work with a strong focus on data acquisition, finite element modelling (static, dynamic and acoustic), and engineering analysis tools (MATLAB/Python).
About You
We are looking for the following skills and attributes from the successful applicant, with an eagerness to learn:
- A degree or post graduate qualifications in mechanical engineering or similar science degree.
- An interest and knowledge in vibration, dynamics, stress analysis, and/or acoustics.
- Skills in computational modelling and engineering programming (i.e., ANSYS, MATLAB, Python, or similar applications).
- Competent writing and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel for field work.
- A team player who is able to work independently when required.
