Vipac Engineers & Scientists Ltd is seeking to recruit a Graduate Air Quality Consultant to join our team of specialised consultants. The position is in our Built Environment team and may be based in one of Vipac’s offices in either Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, or Adelaide.
Vipac is a multi-disciplinary, nationwide engineering consultancy that provides air quality, vibration, acoustics, and many other services. We provide for building, infrastructure, oil & gas, industrial, defence, mining, and commercial clients.
The role will suit a recent Environmental or Mechanical Engineering and Science Graduate or a candidate with 0 – 3 years’ related experience.
The Built Environment group completes projects in a wide range of applications with a large focus on ambient air quality monitoring and pollution dispersion modelling assessments. Our consultants use specialised hardware and software in day-to-day work with a strong focus on data analysis and application of air quality modelling tools such as CALPUFF, GRAL, and AERMOD.
About You
We are looking for the following skills and attributes from the successful applicant, with an eagerness to learn:
- A degree or post graduate qualifications in environmental or mechanical engineering or similar science degree.
- A strong interest in air quality/odour monitoring and modelling assessments.
- Familiarity with air quality monitoring instrumentation and/or dispersion modelling tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Competent writing and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel for field work.
- A team player who is able to work independently when required.
