The company assists clients to understand operator exposure and manage risks through engineering services including measurement, assessment, design, and control. Vipac’s services include unique offerings in:

  • Measurement of noise levels in any workplace using sound level meters and personal dosimeters.
  • We assess in any industrial setting including mining, Defence, oil & gas, marine, and construction.
  • Assessment of noise levels in accordance with Australian and International standards, and where needed, other relevant guidelines such as IMO/MSC, and MIL-STD.
  • Review of existing hearing protection devices and PPE.
  • Noise control solutions can be determined to suit client requirements. Solutions that are both feasible and practical, with cost in mind (where needed).
  • Measurement of whole-body and hand-arm vibration with the intent of understanding operator complaints, commissioning of a new vehicle, health risk assessments, and seat performance investigation.
  • Assessment of operator vibration and adequacy of seat performance, to relevant standards, guidelines and directives.
  • Recommendations to management relating to seat replacement and acceptable hours per shift.
  • Measurement and assessment of airborne particles and contaminants including dust, silica, diesel particulate and metals.
  • Control of structure-borne noise and vibration and fault diagnosis in marine vessels.
