We’ve expanded our IP testing capabilities with the commissioning of a new IP5X/IP6X dust chamber. The chamber has a capacity of 28,000 litres (28m³) with internal dimensions of 3.5m (L) × 2.3m (W) × 3.5m (H). It subjects electrical enclosures, equipment, and switchboards to extreme dust or sand conditions, thoroughly challenging their sealing performance — ideal for qualification testing in accordance with AS/IEC 60529.
This dust chamber is also capable of performing the Turbulent Dust Test in accordance with Defence standard DEF STAN 00-35, Part 3, Test CL25, Section 2.3.
